Little Red Jacket

I picked up this gorgeous red jacket from Forever 21 and isn't it just so amazing! It's not real leather but I think it's the closest thing I've seen to the real deal. The studding detail is quite cool on it and I love that the arms are nice and fitted. It's a pet hate of mine when the material around my arm is loose. The colour is a bit on the loud side and I'm still getting used to it but its definitely one of the best fitting jackets I have found in a long time. I wore it with a new shirt I picked up from Penny's which is quite similar to those seen to a  Marni silk shirt I saw recently on Net-a-Porter. Of course the Penny's version is a lot more purse friendly and for under €20 I really couldn't resist. It has gorgeous detailed stitching around the neck and the material is very good quality. Something that I think Penny's have improved in the last few months.

Aaron's Birthday Weekend!

It was my son Aaron's birthday last Saturday. He's now 11 years old. I'm still in shock. I had a mini meltdown in Tesco last week because I realised that they only go up as far as 10 years in the age cards. I was honestly considering buying a card for a 1 year old and then doing a DIY job on it myself by adding another "1"! I don't think that would go down too well.

Thank god we are beyond the birthday party stage and Aaron decided that he would prefer to go to Smyths to buy his own present and we would then go to his favourite restaurant Gambinis for lunch. Followed by a quick detour to Brown Thomas for me.........thinking of the pain I was in 11 years ago people, I deserve it!

I wore a fabulous new shirt I got in Pennys last week. It's the most gorgeous shade of blue. It's almost lavender really and the fabric is actually fantastic. It was a massive bargain at only €15. I am a bargain queen after all. I wore it with wine coloured skinnies from Topshop. I find their denims are a fantastic fit and they don't go out of shape like most other brand do. Leopard print courts from Dune and my Gucci tote finished off the look. I will admit I wear head to toe high street majority of the time. I love Pennys and H&M! But when it comes to accessories I'm a designer freak. It's worth investing in a fabulous bag as you will have it forever, never be to heavy or thin to wear it and it will never date!

I left my makeup bag at work so it was a nice change to be nearly makeup free and give my skin a break. Although I did feel a bit naked so I ran into Brown Thomas to pick up a few bits and pieces I really needed....any excuse!

Woof

My bff and partner in crime Vera works for Kooples in Brown Thomas so therefore I'm getting quite an addiction for their clothes. I recently picked up this top in their sale. It is the best fit ever. It's quite slouchy but falls beautifully. I think the dog print in the front is very cool. For this look I wore it with a plaid shirt with stud detailing from Zara and gorgeous leather look denims from Verso. Verso is a fabulous boutique in Douglas, Cork. It stocks brands such as French Connection and Hybrid. One word covers this boutique.....divine!

Kaleidoscope

Love love love my new dress from Topshop! I wore it on a night out with my girlies to see one of my favourite bands Le Galaxie perform in The Pavillion in Cork. I think this is my favourite dress of all time. That is of course until I buy my next one!

Drowning in sequins!

My friend Lisa Roberts seriously came to my rescue this Christmas. This seriously glam diva is the owner of the most amazing boutique Verso in Douglas that stocks divine brands such as French Connection, Lipsy, Guess, Vero Moda and Hybrid to name a few. Lisa along with Vivienne also owns The Dress Bar in Cork city that stocks the most amazing dresses and accessories for all occasions for hire. Amazing idea if you want to look amazing for that big occasion! And even better still they do all the dry cleaning...sweet!

I was so mentally crazy with work this year that there was no way I could manage to get out of the salon to get some fabulous outfits for my Christmas nights out. Along came my fashionable miracle diva with a bag full of Verso goodies to keep me looking glam for Christmas! Lisa is definitely a girl that I could trust to pick out a whole outfit for me. She has the most amazing eye for style and fashion.

I haven't had a chance to wear all her pieces yet so you will be seeing further outfit posts in the very near future. This sequin skirts is one of my absolute favourites and was a huge hit on Instagram when I posted it earlier. It's almost like balayage they way the colours blend into each other and is an amazing statement piece. It can be totally dressed up or down too. I'm a huge fan of sequins at night but team it with a denim shirt over a plain black t-shirt for a cool casual look. I've worn it with a white Zara shirt, black opaque tights and killer heels from River Island.

I love this top so much. It was a total bargain buy from River Island about two years ago. I didn't wear it for ages as it didn't seem to go with anything in my wardrobe. This of course was a great excuse to go shopping!

Back To Basics

I love this dress. It's a totally basic dress in a fabulous colour and fit. Topshop always comes out on top for their basic t-shirts, dresses and skirts. This is definitely a style I'll be picking up in other colours for winter. Can't wait to wear them with bright tights!

I love this t-shirt from H&M. It has an amazing print and is quite floaty. I got loads of compliments the first time I wore it. I wore it with denims and my new white sandals.

I'm Back!

Have you all missed me? I finally got my iPhone fixed....sort of! I couldn't take any pictures of my outfits or post them on instagram. It was a terrible week for me. So after a whole week of wasted outfits I'm back to my stylish self and ready to blog!

Check out this amazing jumper from Topshop. I saw it in the store about two weeks ago and I was trying to be a good girl so I put it back on the rail. (that never works out does it?!) I was at Indiependance Music Festiaval last week and saw it on a girl and nearly died! Why didn't I just get it when I had it in my hand! So I had to endure a whole wknd, praying that they would still have it in Topshop by the time I got there the following week. And thank god they did! I love the studding detail
on the shoulders and the slouchy feel to it. I've worn it as a dress but it looks divine over leather pants too. It's made me kinda look forward to winter!
